Ingrid Littler from Runcorn, was the lucky winner of the brand new Ford Fiesta on Bank Holiday Saturday in the Kiss the Car final! Halton Lea Shopping Centre would like to thank all the finalists of Kiss the Car for being good sports on the day and providing the crowd with lots of entertainment Liam from Widnes was the winner of the Puppets around the World Competition. Children were invited to name the tiger and Liam chose Harley, which was the winning name.

Halton Lea Shopping Centre are the proud sponsors of the Halton & District Junior Football League and ‘Barca’ football Team. Barca’ have done Halton Lea proud this season, currently placed 3rd in the league with two games to play. If they win both games they could finish 2nd at the end of the season. There is something for the whole family this Easter at Halton Lea Shopping Centre Children can enter the Easter colouring competition or for the more energetic there is an Easter Bunny Hunt, between 17th March and the 5th April. Halton Lea has selected the Canal Boat Adventure Project as their charity for 2007/2008. The canal Boat social inclusion project is an extension of the Nessie Club for young victims of crime. The project operates across Halton and Warrington six days a week and throughout the holiday periods, for child victims of crime, abuse, domestic violence or poor parenting. Halton Lea Shopping Centre will be the first business in the Borough of Halton to introduce a pioneering safety scheme which offers a hotline number to assist parents and guardians in finding children who have been separated from them whilst out shopping. Halton Lea Shopping Centre will launch the Child Safe Shopping scheme to cover the entire shopping area, including Halton Lea Shopping Centre and Trident Retail Park, on Monday 22 October. Halton Lea Shopping Centre recently held a talent competition called "Bags of Talent". There were over 85 excited contestants who entered, all aged between 8 and 16 years old. The daily auditions ran from Monday 30th July to Tuesday 14th August. The judges selected 26 semi finalists to battle it out on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August to win a place in the grand final. The 12 extremely talented performers took to the stage for the final at 12 noon on Saturday 18th to prove them selves in front of the 3 .. [ more ]
Halton Lea Shopping Centre commits itself to one particular charity each year. This year our selected charity is Halton Haven Hospice (Registered Charity No: 702654). The need to select this charity soon became apparent . The dedicated team at Halton Haven have assisted so many members of our staff and retailers families in the past, who have sadly been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Halton Lea Shopping Centre started Dancing & Discounts for the over 50's on Valentines Day this year. To date, we have 55 members, but would like to encourage more people to enjoy this social weekly event . The dance starts at 1.30pm every Wednesday afternoon, in the Town Square, with 2 dancesessions, free beverages and a weekly raffle. Once a member, customers can enjoy discounts at specified retailers after the dancing has finished around 3.00pm. Membership is free! Some members choose not to dance .. [ more ]
